Magashi
Akagera National Park, Rwanda
Magashi, just the sound of pronouncing the word tells you it is part of magical Africa.
On the first of May 2019 Wilderness Safaris officially opened Magashi – Rwanda’s first luxury camp in the wildlife-rich Akagera National Park.
Overlooking the scenic Lake Rwanyakazinga in the north-east of the park, Magashi is already proving to be a location of extraordinary beauty, diversity and abundance.
With a purpose strongly rooted in conserving Rwanda’s last protected savannah ecosyste and threatened species, this truly spectacular area offers life-changing journeys for all.
Lions, Leopard, Giraffe and antelope will make part of your drive in this stunning destination. You could combine this with a visit to the Mountain Gorillas at Bisate and a stay over in the city of a thousand hills, Kigali.
To visit Rwanda you would at least need 12 days to experience the rhythm of this beautiful place.
We would use a helicopter and vehicles to travel between the camps.
This would ensure that we make use of your time to the best and that you could enjoy the country from the air and be close with amazing Rwandan People.
